During this two day course, participants will learn advanced techniques pertaining to NCS, EMG, and neuromuscular ultrasound (NMUS) through lectures and small group hands-on practicums utilizing Sierra Summit® and Sierra NMUS1® equipment. Topics include Motor Unit Potential Assessment, Ultrasound Correlation with Electrodiagnostics, and Ultrasound & EMG Techniques:
- EMG: Motor Unit Potential Assessment (Recruitment, Stability, Size), and Complex EMG Waveforms
- Nerve Conduction Studies: Uncommon Motor and Sensory, and Repetitive Nerve Stimulation
- Neuromuscular Ultrasound: Ultrasound in Correlation with Electrodiagnostics, and Neuromuscular Anatomy and Scanning of Upper and Lower Extremities
- Ultrasound and EMG Needle Guidance: Common Injection Sites, and Techniques
Physician experts Jeff Strakowski, MD, and Devon Rubin, MD, will guide participants through uncommon nerve conduction studies and how to diagnose issues for their patients. You’ll learn the benefits of ultrasound in correlation with NCV and EMG, and ultrasound of the upper and lower extremities. Hands-on practicums utilizing the ultrasound equipment will be included.

This course is primarily suitable for physicians and may also be beneficial for an advanced, tenured technologist.

Airline Reservations
Participants are responsible for their own airline reservations. Please do not make non-refundable airline reservations. Cadwell is not responsible for the refund of travel or hotel expenses under any circumstances.
Cancellation Policy
Cadwell reserves the right to cancel the course within 14 calendar days of the start date. In the unlikely event that a course is canceled, 100% of the tuition will be refunded. Participant cancellations made more than 14 calendar days before the course receive a tuition refund minus a 20% administrative fee. The nature of the “interactive” aspect of the course from an equipment and instructional standpoint dictates that an optimal number of participants be maintained. Therefore, participant cancellations made less than 14 days before the course start date, including no-shows, will result in the tuition being non-refundable and non-transferrable to a future date.
