Dr. Devon Rubin is a Professor of Neurology and is a neuromuscular neurologist, electromyographer, and educator at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida. He earned his medical degree at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Rubin has been active in research and educational endeavors related to EMG education within his institution, nationally, and internationally, having directed or served as faculty in Mayo Clinic EMG in over 100 courses. He has developed a variety of novel digital educational programs to help improve learning of EMG waveforms and performance of EMG, including programs such as EMG Waveform Trainer, EMG Recruitment Trainer, Muscle Localization for Needle EMG, and Real EMG© cases.
Awards
Dr. Rubin has received numerous awards for his contributions in education, including the Jun Kimura Outstanding Educator award from the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), Mayo Clinic Distinguished Education Award, A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award from the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), Teacher of the year Award (Mayo Clinic), and Program Director Recognition Award.
