Dr. Jeffrey A. Strakowski, MD

Dr. Jeffrey A. Strakowski is a physiatrist who practices in Columbus, Ohio. He is a clinical professor of PM&R at The Ohio State University. He is also a clinical adjunct professor at Ohio University. He also is an associate director of medical education at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital and serves as faculty for the OhioHealth sports medicine fellowship program. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University, and he has been in practice for more than 20 years.
He is board-certified in PM&R, and has held subspecialty certifications in neuromuscular medicine, sports medicine, spinal cord injury, and pain management. He is ABEM-certified in electrodiagnostic medicine and ARDMS certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is a member of the AANEM Ultrasound Task Force.
Dr. Strakowski has multiple publications on electrodiagnostic medicine as well as musculoskeletal and neuromuscular ultrasound, including textbooks “Ultrasound Evaluation of Focal Neuropathies – Correlation with Electrodiagnosis” and “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: Getting Started.” He also worked a coauthor and editor of the 5th edition of the Jun Kimura series “Electrodiagnosis in Diseases of Nerve and Muscle.” He lectures frequently both nationally and internationally on musculoskeletal and neuromuscular ultrasound, ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve procedures and electrodiagnosis; including serving as director for the AANEM-sponsored course Ultra EMG. He also is an MSKUS instructor for Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute with whom he created the video series “Electrodiagnosis and Ultrasound Evaluation of Focal Neuropathies.”
