NCS Fundamentals and Introduction to Neuromuscular Ultrasound

June 14-15, 2025, Charlotte, North Carolina

In this hands-on workshop, clinical experts will teach participants fundamental concepts in performing nerve conduction studies (NCS), as well as provide an introduction to integrating neuromuscular ultrasound in combination with EMG and NCS.

During this workshop, participants will engage in small-group, hands-on activities exploring the following topics:

  • Instrumentation
  • Troubleshooting
  • Upper and lower extremities
  • F-Waves
  • H-Reflexes
  • Entrapment Neuropathies
  • Introduction to ultrasound scanning of the median and ulnar nerves

By attending the session, you will gain:

  • Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the upper and lower extremities, as well as effective stimulation techniques
  • Foundational ultrasound skills, including the ability to optimize machine settings, identify the median and ulnar nerves, recognize normal anatomy, and detect common pathologies
  • Proficiency in eliciting late responses, such as F-Waves and H-Reflexes, and performing accurate measurement techniques
  • Practical strategies to address common technical challenges, enhance signal quality, reduce artifacts, and troubleshoot equipment issues

Participants will receive a digital certificate of attendance that will be emailed upon confirmation of their attendance after the workshop.

To ensure the best learning environment, enrollment is limited. Registrations are taken in the order they are received. Course registration must be paid in advance to guarantee your space. We will provide written confirmation, the course schedule, and hotel reservation instructions to the email address you provided.

Cadwell has secured a block of rooms at a special group rate of $150 per room per night. The group reservation link will be sent to attendees when registration has been confirmed.

 

Airline Reservations

Participants are responsible for their own airline reservations. Please do not make non-refundable airline reservations. Cadwell is not responsible for the refund of travel or hotel expenses under any circumstances.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cadwell reserves the right to cancel the course within 14 calendar days of the start date. In the unlikely event that a course is canceled, 100% of the course registration will be refunded. Participant cancellations made more than 14 calendar days before the course receive a course registration refund minus a 20% administrative fee. The nature of the “interactive” aspect of the course from an equipment and instructional standpoint dictates that an optimal number of participants be maintained. Therefore, participant cancellations made less than 14 days before the course start date, including no-shows, will result in the course registration being non-refundable and non-transferrable to a future date.
