Participants attending this two day course led by physician experts John Norbury, MD; and Devon Rubin, MD, will learn advanced techniques in Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Electromyography (EMG), and Neuromuscular Ultrasound through hands-on practicums utilizing the Sierra Summit® EMG/NCS/EP system and Sierra NMUS1® ultrasound.
During the workshop, Dr. Rubin and Dr. Norbury will guide you through the following course topics:
- Ultrasound in Correlation with Electrodiagnostics
- EMG Waveforms – Recognition and Significance of Spontaneous Waveforms, Motor Unit Potential (MUP) Assessment – Recruitment, Stability, and Size
- Introduction to Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Neuromuscular Anatomy and Scanning of the Upper Extremities
- Uncommon Motor and Sensory Nerve Conduction Studies of the Upper Extremities
- Neuromuscular Anatomy and Scanning of the Lower Extremities
- Uncommon Motor and Sensory Nerve Conduction Studies of the Lower Extremities
- Lower Extremity EMG and Neuromuscular Ultrasound Examination
- Repetitive Nerve Stimulation: Utility, Techniques, and Pitfalls
- Ultrasound and EMG Needle Guidance Techniques
- Hands-on Practicum and Small Groups Demonstrations

To ensure the best learning environment for participants, enrollment is limited. Registrations are taken in the order they are received. Tuition must be paid in advance to guarantee your space. We will provide written confirmation, the course schedule, and hotel reservation instructions to the email address you provided.
Accommodations
This workshop will be located at the Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort (500 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, CA 92648). Cadwell has secured a block of rooms at a special group rate at the Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, CA. The group reservation link will be sent to attendees once registration has been confirmed.
Airline Reservations
Participants are responsible for their own airline reservations. Please do not make non-refundable airline reservations. Cadwell is not responsible for the refund of travel or hotel expenses under any circumstances.
Cancellation Policy
Cadwell reserves the right to cancel the course within 14 calendar days of the start date. In the unlikely event that a course is canceled, 100% of the tuition will be refunded. Participant cancellations made more than 14 calendar days before the course receive a tuition refund minus a 20% administrative fee. The nature of the “interactive” aspect of the course from an equipment and instructional standpoint dictates that an optimal number of participants be maintained. Therefore, participant cancellations made less than 14 days before the course start date, including no-shows, will result in the tuition being non-refundable and non-transferrable to a future date.
